Hillsborough County Motorcycle Crash

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a motorcycle rider was killed Wednesday afternoon after a car made a left turn in front of him in Hillsborough. On U.S. 41 at Miller Mac Road, the crash occurred at around 12:45 pm. During the incident, a northbound driver turned in front of the motorcyclist on U.S. 41, troopers said. Wearing a helmet, the motorcyclist hit the car. Police reported that the victim died at the scene. Both the driver and the passenger of the car, a 61-year-old woman from Ruskin, suffered minor injuries, according to police. As a result of how the highway patrol interpreted Marsy’s Law, a state constitutional amendment meant for the protection of crime victims, but that was also supposed to enhance transparency, the highway patrol did not release the names of the persons involved.
