Pedestrian Dies In Crash In Manatee County

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car heading southbound on U.S. 41 in southern Manatee County. The pedestrian, a 40-year-old Sarasota man, was hit while trying to cross U.S. 41 just north of the 69th Ave intersection. An 80-year-old Sarasota man was driving the sedan that collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian was unfortunately killed in the crash while the driver only received minor injuries. The crash is still under investigation at the moment.
