An 8-year-old passenger was killed after a school bus was hit by a driver

An accident involving a school bus killed an 8-year-old girl. Troopers say she was a passenger in a car that slammed into the back of the bus in Citrus County. The crash occurred shortly after 3 pm next to a VFW. Investigators say the car crashed into a school bus that had stopped to drop off students. The bus had on its lights and stop sign but the 75-year-old driver of a convertible didn’t hit the breaks on time on state road 200 before crashing into the back of the bus.
